In this tutorial I’ll show how to create a glamour black glass button.
1. Create new file (Ctrl+N). Use “rounded rectangle tool”

2. Hold [Shift] on Layer1 and use: Select => Modify => Contract => 4px

3. Create new layer (Ctrl+N) and fill it with white colour

4. Choose “elliptical marquee tool”, make a selection and press [DEL]

5. Use: Layer => Layer Style => Gradient Overlay (and use Settings)

6. Now use with Layer1 (main): Layer => Layer Style => Gradient Overlay (and use Settings)

7. Use: Layer => Layer Style => Inner Shadow (and use settings).

8. Use: Layer => Layer Style => Drop Shadow (and use settings).

9. Type text and then use: Layer => Layer Style => Inner Shadow (and use settings).

10. Get the result

I can’t seem to get past the first part -
Where it says: “2. Hold [Shift] on Layer1 and use: Select => Modify => Contract => 4px” - my Photoshop won’t let me, i’ve just got a white background as Background in italics…??? in the layers section

kyle932E5E46@fireden.net jesse932E5E46@fireden.net This is a worthwhile blog post, and I mainly agree with what you posted. Also I actually do have a very small thought… I’ve had my iPhone over 3 years now. And I’ve a few weeks ago upgraded to a iPhone 4. And even while I love the iPhone ( by and large), I positively can’t stand AT&T. I’d rather not be forced to jailbreak my iPhone to choose a different carrier, however , if Apple stays in business with AT&T much longer I’m going to be forced to change to buying an Android phone. My own question is, do you really think Apple may have any plans to open up the iPhone to additional providers any time soon? Mostly I would love to go to one who has actual 4G coverage! Thanks for the tips!

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
